"THE HOW AND WHY OF DICTATORSHIPS"
A Lecture by Miss Lisa Sergio
(November 1966)
Many years ago, while a freshman at Bluefield College, I was fortunate to hear an address by Miss Lisa Sergio as part of the school's annual lecture-concert series.  She gave three lectures, one of which was most interesting on how and why dictatorships develop in a country.

This page also introduces the reader to the startling contrasts between Trump and Mussolini.  And, guess who first used the phrase, "Make America Great?"  It wasn't Trump....it was Mussolini.

There is a brief biography of her on this page, as well as one of the other lectures she gave, "The Power of Youth in World Affairs."  In addition, I have included an interview she gave which gives an interesting insight into her life and background in pre-WW2 Italy. She was Europe's first woman radio broadcaster.

The audio of the lecture on this page is aprox. 30 minutes in length and covers the majority; the rest was on a tape with technical difficulties. You can hear the complete lecture on the webpage, "Jim and Joe in College."
Here are some notes I made from that lecture by Miss Sergio:
