Recent tragedies across the United States and around the world have left many devastated and hopeless. The sudden firing of the Chief Of Chaplains by the Secretary of Defense, with no reason given, is the first such removal ever in the history of the Chaplain Corps.  His removal came as additional general officers and the Army Chief of Staff were also removed for no reason. It has become very apparent that the inexperienced and incompetent Sec. of Defense (who styles himself as 'Sec. of War'), has been removing other officers who are either Women or Black as part of his 'Pentagon Purge.' He has also blocked promotions of 4 officers: 2 of whom are Black and 2 of whom are women.  On Good Friday, April 3, 2026, Hegseth invited Protestant staff of the Pentagon to attend a service in the Pentagon Chapel, but he prohibited any Catholic service to take place, something which had always been allowed.  Our country is in serious trouble both domestically and internationally.  Our country is also in deep spiritual decline.

Each day, we are reminded of the importance of prayer in both good and bad times. They need not be long or eloquent. Our prayers simply must be heartfelt.

Billy Graham has prayed publicly countless times before Crusades and at national and international prayer events. And as Franklin Graham has said on his Decision America Tour, our only hope is to call on God in prayer for healing and revival.

On one occasion Rev. Billy Graham prayed:

"Lord … remind us today that You have shown us what is good in what You require of us; to do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God. We ask that as a people, we may humble ourselves before You and seek Your will for our lives and for this great nation. Help us in our nation to work as never before to strengthen our families and to give our children hope and a moral foundation for the future. So may our desire be to serve You, and in so doing, serve one another. This we pray in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen."
